Western Harnett Industrial Park
The Western Harnett Industrial Park is a 227-acre certified industrial park with 25 parcels ranging in size from 4.5 to more than 17 acres. The park sits on NC Highway 87 and is just over a mile from the Highway 27 interchange and access to Lillington or Southern Pines. Being a NC Certified Site, a significant amount of upfront site work has already been performed, including wetland delineation, phase 1 environmental analysis, geotechnical assesment and much more. The park is located just 12 miles north of Manchester Road, the back entrance to Pope Field and Fort Bragg. The newly opened Sanford by-pass to the North now offers a faster connection to US 1, 15/501 and US 421. The bypass starts 7 miles north of the park. I-95 is 30 miles to the south.
Central Carolina Community College has a satellite Campus adjacent to the Park where various educational classes are offered. The facility can offer specialized training for companies who locate in the park. On lot 2 of the Western Harnett Industrial Park is an 8,600 sf speculative building. Designed with 6 bays the facility, when up-fitted, could host up to six small companies. A virtual building has been designed and is located on this web site for lot 4. This building can be move-in ready in under 120 days. It can can built on another site, but the drawings only exist for site 4. The growth just south of the industrial park has lead to traffic counts on Hwy 87 reaching in excess of 17,000 vehicle movements daily. The Commerical development offers lunch and dinner options, refueling, car service, some medical and of course grocery shopping options.
